Each kit contains: a large ready to fruit block of mycelium, humidity tent materials and easy to follow instructions. The tent and instructions are always in the very bottom of the box.
The kits are about the size of an A4 piece of paper and twice that height so don't take up a lot of room - perfect to tuck in a shaded corner of a room. Temperature range for fruiting is between 15 and 21ºC.
The kit you receive is a pre-inoculated and fully colonised block of hard wood saw dust and soya bean hulls. The mycelium has grown all the way through which means it is ready to produce mushrooms on arrival. All you need to do is open it up and start spraying. The only thing not included is a spray bottle.
Delicious gourmet mushrooms will appear a week or two later!
Kits are best used within a week of receipt but will store unopened in a cool place for up to four weeks. If you are unsure about anything please feel free to get in touch by email.
