“Duck” Pancakes”

“I had to do the honor of creating something that is so similar it’s scary.”

Hands down my favourite takeaway order of all time, everyone knows how much I used to love duck pancakes.

Ingredients

1 Punnet oyster mushrooms
1/2 Cup Corn Starch
1 Tbsp Chinese five spice
2 Tbsp Hoisin Sauce
Half a cucumber
2 Spring Onions
Duck pancakes
Veg oil

Method

1. Start by pulling your oyster mushrooms into strips, add them to a bowl with some oil, Half the hoisin sauce and the five spice, mix to coat.
2. Now sprinkle over the corn starch and mix well. Add them to a baking tray and add to the oven at 180C for 15/20 mins or until crispy.
3. Now slice up your cucumber and spring onions.
4. Get the mushrooms out the oven, toss them in the rest of the hoisin and warm up your duck pancakes and then build them and enjoy!
