Lions Mane Mushroom Steak Pita

with Chimichurri

It’s Steak… but with Mushrooms

We’re back with another lions mane special! This unreal fluffy pita that I did try and make myself but I couldn’t get my pizza oven hot enough to bake it so had to buy one from the shops. Still it slapped!

Ingredients

1 lions mane flush

2 tbsp oldbay seasoning

Oil

Salt and pepper

For the chimichurri:

Bunch of parsley

Bunch of coriander

2 chillies

1 clove garlic

2 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil

1 tbsp red wine vinegar

Salt and pepper

Method:

1. Start by mixing together all the chimichurri ingredients in a bowl.

2. Now add some oil to a skillet add the lions mane to it and season. Sear it around the pan for 3/4 mins on one side and then the other sides.

3. Press down the mushroom with a weighted pan to release all the moisture in the mushroom. Then season your mushroom with any seasonings you’d like to use. I used Old Bay Seasoning and sear your mushroom again.

4. Slice up your mushroom into strips and you can sear those slices up too.

4. Cook your pita, lay on some chimichurri and then the sliced mushroom steak and more chimichurri and enjoy!
